STANDBY SENT ME TO LA

So at 10am the standby gods called me... just as I thought I was in the clear and was planning a date night that evening for a sunday pub roast. They called. Typical. #CrewLife.

As much as I had a little moan whilst getting my uniform on and locking up my case, I was inside a little bit happy because that meant day onE of my 4 day standby block I was used, so no more anxiety and waiting around. Also LA is definitely not a bad trip to be called out on. Actually ended up being such an amazing trip with the loveliest bunch of girls and nicest crew. So all was well.

When we got the LA I had already been awake 24 hours straight so for me.. it was time to call it a night, or a morning... JET LAG.

The next day we was up early and sat round the pool for the morning, girly chats and planning the evening ahead. We met for 4pm dressed and ready to go to Venice. The sunset is absolutely stunning and so worth the battle through traffic to get there. We went to Hotel Erwin which is just on Venice Beach, its a rooftop bar with delicious cocktails and amazing views.

Talk about Lauren Conrad "The Hills" vibes.. this place was so me, chilled music, chilled atmosphere I loved it! We got a amazing table too, definitely book ahead if you want a table! But it's free to get in and you don't have to book if your happy standing.

We then jumped in a uber to West Hollywood as we had a table booked at CATCH. Which is a seafood restaurant. Very slick and instagrammable. We was on celebrity watch that evening. I definitely would recommend coming here, its gorgeous and the presentation of the food and cocktails is amazing as well. For dessert we ordered their popular #HITME dessert. Which is a 4 layer chocolate ice cream and brownie that you hit on the top and its pours more chocolate.. SO GOOD.

And that was us done for the night, back to the hotel and planned to meet early in the morning get the crew car (most of our hotels have cars that the crew can drive around) and head back to Melrose Ave. For breakfast we went to RAWBERRI, if you follow me on instagram you can see that I loved this place, and I took so many photos here. Its not only a beautiful setting, very LA vibes. But the food is so good, we all had a Acai bowl each, I think I went for the energy bowl which had berries, banana almond butter cocao nibs, granola inside in and on top. Oh my god - YUM.

After taking loads of photos posing as idiots like every other girl in there we headed off to melrose avenue for a stroll and to see the pink wall. Not like I haven't seen it enough already, always good to get some new snaps. Especially as I was wearing a pink shirt and had a pink smoothie.. had to be done. If your in LA and want to see this wall its the Paul Smith store on Melrose.

After a busy trip and morning out and about plus battling LA traffic it was time to head back to the hotel so we can chill out for a few hours before check out as the late LA coming home can be so so hard with jet lag and tiredness..so you really do need a couple hours to rest and if you are lucky enough maybe have a nap too!

Off now for a week, back to LA next Wednesday for 2 nights then passenger to Vegas and stay there for 1 night... and thats my only trip for February!
